Final Project
Final Project
For our final project, we are required to come up with a website design with a minimum of 5 pages. I have decided to create a portfolio website for myself for this assignment.
Final Project Proposal
I find it easier for me to arrange layouts instead of just drawing out wireframes. Hence, I decided to pick out the content I want to put in my portfolio and arrange them on illustrator before I start creating the web pages.
While doing this assignment, I did a mistake in the organisation of my files by creating subfolders for each of the pages which causes my other webpages cannot to be found. I then texted tze earn about it and she told me that the other Html pages cannot be found if they are placed in subfolders, besides she also reminded me to put the images in files before attaching pictures in my webpages so that the file source would be more organised and the file source would be easier to locate and found.
I then reorganised and relocate entirely all my files.

FEEDBACK
Week 12
After going through my proposal, I showed sirs my progress for the wireframes, colour palette and my current progress to decide my contents and images to put in. Mr Shamsul said that it's okay since I have already picked out and organised my content. He said I could proceed with creating my home page
Week 13
After seeing my home page, sir said he said he thinks the layout, colours look fine and he had no further comments on my work and said that I could proceed with other pages.
REFLECTIONS
In this final project, I really struggled yet learned a lot. To be honest, I find coding to be quite complicated to me and I even wondered it is possible for me to code a whole website with several pages but after some time, I realised that it is not impossible and I somehow did it.
The starting of this project was really stressful for me because I couldn't really figure out the style and colour palette that could really represent me on my website. After going through all my artwork throughout all these semesters, I found out that my style was inconsistent and the use of colours are also very different and my work does not seem to compliment when I put them together(even after editing), to give an overall feeling that I want to give off to my audience.
I felt lost and then I started thinking about what do I really enjoy doing and what do I really like as a person. I discovered that I'm quite a minimalist and I keep things clean and neat, which is why I've decided to choose my layout to be clean and minimalist even though I did wonder would it be too simple and effortless. But since it's a portfolio about me, I don't think I'd want to change that and just stick to it and be true to what feels like me. I also realised that most of the colours that are found in my pictures are related to nature and I then realised that I really like earth tone colours and it would be the colour palette that really represents me as a person. I think this project also helped to find myself and get to know myself better throughout the process.
Besides, I've learned to stay clear-headed and remind myself not to be hasty and be patient to figure out things step by step. Overall, I'm quite happy with the outcome and I definitely need more practice to get better and try more sophisticated design.
