PROCESS

For the previous feedback, Ms Lilian suggested me to test the logo out on a minimum size and see whether is the lines on the leaf element on the logo can still be clearly visible. After testing it out I realised that the lines can hardly be seen.

Logo Before Refinement

After adjusting the lines, I then moved on to refine the logo using guides.

Logo Refinement

I also came up with a logotype variation for EZplast so that it can create more variation during application, yet bringing out the brand's essence and characteristic.

Logomark with Logotype

After refining the logo design, I then moved on to the copywriting stage for the social media post content for Yumnuu and JeYann to proceed with the post designs.

Since Yumnuu is struggling to choose the colours, the feed looks quite serious because of the heavy use of darker colours like dark blue and brown. I suggested her to use brighter colours from the colour palette I have came up with so that it can look more approachable and friendly.

FEEDBACK

Week 8
Independent learning week

Week 9
I was absent this week but Fazal updated me that Ms Lilian said that we are on the right track but the social media posts does not reflect the brand value.

Week 10
Ms Lilian mentioned that the logo design is well crafted and I have applied my knowledge from my branding modules. She also mentioned that the Instagram and Facebook posts are still not able to bring out the brand value. She pointed out that maybe the grids layout that we are using are restricting us to bring out the fun and friendly feels.

NEXT COURSE OF ACTION

Meiling - Help out with social media posts
Fazal - Video animation
Jon - Mascot design (Complete all)
Je Yann - Asset illustration, Facebook Posts
Yumnuu - Instagram Posts

REFLECTION

Experience:
These few weeks have been a little tiring for me and I find myself unable to do work. I'm grateful that the rest of my group are understanding and responsible. They will take the initiative to ask how should they do their task; I didn't have to approach them and keep asking which was really nice.

Observation:
I observed that all of us in the group have different working styles and the way we approach things or see things could be a little different sometimes. For some of the things that I'm more confident and think it should work better, I had to explain the reason why to get my point through and making them understand the reasons behind the decisions I think would be better.

Findings:
Since I didn't really have that much group projects for the previous semester, I didn't realize that working together as a group requires more planning and time even if the workload could be the same as a personal project. Communication is important and explaining things is also another skill that is required.
