In our first lecture, Mr Asrizal briefed us and talked about data collection.

Sir showed us some examples of our seniors have done about Persona Building.

Task 1
Social Media Analytics
At the beginning of this semester, we were asked to get into a group of 4. Our task is to study the Google Merchandise Store analytics from 1 Jan - 31 March 2021 and 1 Jan - 31 March 2022.
I was grouped with Seerat, Della and Raghad. I was the group leader and I divided out and briefed the rest on how we should divide the task in a doc.
Task 1 Submission:
Since this module is about social media, Sir decided to partner with codium lab so that we can get a real life experience working with an agency. We are given a few brands to choose to work on and our group decided go for MyCraftShoppe.
Task 2
For our second task we have to come up with personas for the brand we are working on. I divided to task for everyone to come up with one persona and one empathy map each, and for the data collection, Seerat and I worked on coming with the questionnaire, we will both be in charged of the interview to attain qualitative data while Della and Raghad will be collecting data through survey.
We got the task to come up with a few photoshoot idea for MyCraftShoppe. Seerat and I each came up with one idea.
We were asked to do analysis about TIKTOK. Since MyCraftShoppe is targeting a very niche and specific audience, it was hard to find their competitors in the market. We decided to choose brands that has interesting ideas that can be used as reference instead.
Task 3
Content Creating
We were asked by codium lab to come up with artworks of tudung saji for MCS, I assigned this task to Raghad and here are images that she came up with:

We were also told to come up with a short tiktok video about the 6.6 promotion. I was briefed by Azmina personally on chat and I prepared a storyboard to explain it to my group about what we have to do. This task was assigned to Seerat.
We were told to be present at Codium Lab to make some tik tok with the products they have. Della, Seerat and I were there to plan, shoot and edit the videos.
FEEDBACK
MyCraftShoppe Analysis Presentation:
Only Seerat and I were present for the presentation. Mr Asrizal said we did a good job; the presentation was strong. Meanwhile, the rest from the codium lab also said we did a good job stating all the points and doing SWOT for the competitors we have chosen. Azmina added some suggestions that we can add also do a SWOT analysis for MCS and it would be great.
TikTok Analysis Presentation:
Mr Asrizal and Mr Allen said that we have done a good job by doing case studies from some of the big brands we think using strategy that can be applied on MCS and also providing creative solution that can be applied as well.
Artwork Presentation:
Ms Azmina told us that she appreciate our efforts and thinks our idea for tiktok videos works, especially for our generation that uses social media these days but our ideas were not being approved by the client because of the generation gap. She wished us all the best and wish us that we are able to find clients that can get and understand the work we do in the future.
Meanwhile, Mr Allen also pointed out that the execution of the artwork could be improved on. He mentioned that it is very important to look into the small details and give the professional look and feel of the brand.
REFLECTION
Experience:
Throughout this module, I think working with an agency was an interesting experience. I'm able to get a better understanding on how agency plan their content for ideas > execution > artworks that targets a range of areas that are cohesive with the brand's art direction and theme.
Observation:
I observe that working in a team and planning ahead is crucial when it comes to social media stuff like this. It would be a tedious process if one have to plan and do without the content ideas ready.
Findings:
I realised that having a clear brand guide/ art direction is important. This facilitates the process of designers to help create content that will be relevant and fits the brand's style. I also realised that creating and editing videos can be much easier than I thought by using some softwares.
