Project 2B - Expression, Hierarchy & Composition
INSTRUCTIONS
Week 10
At the beginning of the exercise, I started off by going on Pinterest to do some research and get some ideas.
Visual Research on Expression, Hierarchy and Composition:
After the feedback session, I have tried to redo and I have tried using a picture of a maze just to guide me and give me a direction on the formation of the maze with words. Since most of the words that I found are not really quite related to self-discovery. I have changed my headline to '' Feeling lost is part of the learning process.''
Week 10
Mr Shamsul and Mr Vinod saw my sketches and said that it's a good idea to use a maze to represent 'lost' and suggested me to work on this headline. They also suggested making the words 'feeling lost' big and the tiny human is lost in those words.
Week 11
Mr Vinod and Mr Shamsul said that my second poster with the maze looks better and I should develop on this idea. He said that the word ‘lost’ is too redundant and suggested that I changed the words to different synonyms or words and make them smaller.
Week 12
Mr Shamsul said that my animation is too subtle while Mr Vinod said it's very underwhelming, he added that more stuff could be animated.
I sent a message to Mr Vinod asking for his feedback on the animation and he said that it looks better but the timing is too slow.
REFLECTION
Throughout this project, it was actually pretty challenging for me, especially on the GIF animation part. In the beginning, I only animated the human in the maze and I got feedback about it being too underwhelming so I struggled with how I can animate it to make it more expressive. After deciding how to animate my poster, I really struggled with the timing adjustments as I need to set different timings in order to make the maze to form around the human gradually which takes up a long time and was quite hard for me. However, I personally like the second GIF animation I attempted despite the feedback given.
